I think the mouth guard is good but it’s not the best for me. My upper row of teeth stick out a little and the extra protection that this mouth guard has makes my upper lip area stick out pretty far. It may work better for people with a different profile. Don’t get me wrong, I can still use this mouth guard and it serves it’s function. In fact my complaint is that it has more protection than I think I need. I just prefer to try out another pair that has a smaller profile so my upper lips don’t stick out so much. The next mouth guard that I am planning on purchasing is the Shock Doctor Gel Nano mouth guard. Who knows maybe the Gel Nano will end up being too little protection and I’ll end up coming back to the Gel Max.
